Thousands of Young Adventurers Kept Safe with M2M Connectivity from Eseye

More than 2,400 UK teenagers aged between 14 and 19 took part in trekking event of 35, 45 or 55 miles over what the Ten Tors director Brigadier Piers Hankinson called the "forbidding Dartmoor terrain". The teenagers set off on Saturday morning and camped on the low-growing vegetation, acidic soils and heavy foggy moor overnight.

GPS Tracking Collars Used to Gather Data on Polar Bear Travels

According to new data collected from GPS tracking devices, polar bears have the ability to swim for days, covering hundreds of miles of open water at a time. The researchers suggest that the long swims appear to be a response to declining summer sea ice in the Arctic.

GPS Used to Track Down Hundreds of Missing Campaign Signs

In just a few months the US nation will be voting for the next President of the United States and the election campaigning season is in full-swing. In Lancaster County (Pennsylvania) hundreds of political campaign signs went missing. It’s not uncommon for campaign signs to be taken down here and there, however, one politician found that hundreds of his signs were starting to disappear. And so he decided to attach GPS devices on his signs in order to track down the culprit.

GPS Trackers May Help Keep Thugs Out of Pubs

Violent thugs and drunks residing in Melbourne, Australia could soon be forced to wear GPS tracking devices to ensure they stay out of designated clubs, pubs and ”no-go” zones. State government tender documents showed the Coalition planned to use Global Positioning System (GPS) technology to keep some offenders out of licensed premises, to ensure greater protection for the general public.
